POETRY IN MOTION
It’s so hard to keep five plates
spinning atop those long wobbly
poles of ambition I seem to need.
(I’m glad I have flowers to keep me sane)
What I need is to complete things.
Completion is what really
makes me happy!
And I’m happy because finally,
I’ve got the printing all figured out.
Doing my own stapling is part of
this assembly line process.
Since I had the camera in hand,
I went outside in the 93 degree heat
to quickly take some more photos
as a remembrance of July, 2011
From a distance I thought
the Poke Weed was blooming
but it turned out to be
the crape myrtle.
this year I have some Black Beauty
heirloom tomatoes
growing on the deck.
I’m so grateful for flowers and
tomatoes that
grow as long as I water.
While I was watering I got a new idea.
A spin-off!
Like adding another spinning plate
on another wobbly stick.
Why not make up a bookmark
for the new books of poetry?
It would say
"Please Pass the Poetry"
I would draw a sketch with
Poetry
written on the bowl.
“PLEASE PASS THE POETRY”
READ ONE POEM
ALOUD
TO
SOMEONE!
~ ~
WHEN YOU
FINISH
READING
THESE
LATE BLOOMER
POEMS,
GIVE THEM AWAY
TO
SOMEONE ELSE!
~ ~ ~
If I get that figured out,
completed, and printed
I’ll be even more happy!
stay tuned . . .
